What is oak wilt?
Oak wilt is an infectious disease caused by the fungus Bretziella fagacearum, which invades and disables the water-conducting system (xylem) in oaks.
How do you treat oak wilt?

How can you prevent oak wilt?
Steps to preventing oak wilt include eliminating diseased oaks, handling firewood properly, proper timing of pruning, and painting wounds on healthy oaks.
FOLLOW PROPER PRUNING GUIDELINES
